Emergency Care

Unfortunately, our teeth do not stick to a schedule or keep to a typical working day. We understand that problems often occur when you least expect it.

If you have a dental emergency and it is a weekday, please contact us as early as possible so that we can try and arrange a same day appointment. An emergency dentist will take care of your problem and advise you on the best possible treatment if required. Here at envisage dental we offer emergency dentistry services from early morning until late at night. Our private dental clinics offer full telephone support and our emergency dentists are ready to resolve any painful issues with a 15-minute emergency appointment. Once your problem has been diagnosed we can then offer advice and possible options for a full recovery plan.

Existing Patient Emergency Dentist (In-Hours)

Have you already registered as a patient with envisage dental? We will resolve your pain for a fixed fee of £50 and invite you back for a full 30-minute review to assess a long-term solution and recovery plan.

If your pain is in relation to a recent dental procedure or course of treatment, please consult with your dentist during usual working hours. It is normal to feel some amount of discomfort following a dental procedure, depending on what the procedure is. Your dentist may be able to offer some advice on how to deal with this.

New Patient Emergency Dentist (In-Hours)

You will then be asked to book in for a full 30-minute mouth review where the dentist can assess your entire oral health and provide a long-term solution with the use of intra-oral cameras and X-Rays.

Please call your local dental clinic to have your emergency taken care of.

Unfortunately, our teeth do not perform to a schedule or keep to the typical working day and we understand that problems often occur out of hours. If you have a dental emergency and it is a weekday, please contact us as early as possible so that we can try and arrange a same day appointment. For emergency dental treatment during weekends or bank holidays, please phone the practice number where a recorded message will give you details of our out-of-hours emergency dental services.

Once the dentist has solved your emergency appointment, we will always offer you to book in for a full Healthy Mouth Review to assess the oral condition of your entire mouth.

Preventative Care Planning

Our envisage Dental Health Check allows our dentists to assess how healthy your mouth is by conducting a full 30 minutes assessment. At envisage we are proud to offer you so much more than "just a check-up".

We spend the first part of your Dental Health Check listening to and understanding your specific concerns. So that we provide you the quality of care that we would expect to receive ourselves, we do not hurry. This means that our clients find this an ideal opportunity to discuss other aspects of their health and wellbeing. For example, if you are looking for ways to improve your smile or maintain a youthful appearance you can address these issues in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Dental Anxiety Advice

Many people feel anxious about visiting the dentist – and some avoid visiting altogether. Our friendly and caring team have extensive experience in calming nerves and phobias. By combining our skill with the very latest modern techniques, we guarantee that you will have a positive and pain free experience from start to finish.

It is natural to be anxious when undergoing any major treatment. Having trust and confidence in your dental practice and your dentist combined with knowledge of your options helps a great deal. Research also shows many patients don’t like the smell, the sounds and the memories of a dentist from childhood – although private dentistry has now moved on dramatically since then. Don’t worry, we can still help you gain your smile!

Some of the top dental anxiety techniques and methods for coping with dental anxiety and dental phobia include:

  • Meditation: A relaxation of mind and body musculature.
  • Audio distraction: For many, wearing headphones can help to block out much of the dental noises that increase their anxiety.
  • Visual distraction: Watching television or a movie to take your mind off things.
  • Be prepared: Asking your dentist in advance what you can expect during your visit and how the procedures are handled.
  • Relaxation techniques: The key here is to place focus on your body parts, relaxing them one at a time.
  • Take a mini vacation in your mind: To help ease your nerves imagine yourself in a relaxing and enjoyable setting.
  • Breathing exercises: Deep breathing can be a great technique to relax your mind and body with slow deep breaths allowing oxygen to flow easily.
  • Take breaks: During dental procedures, when anxiety builds up, just ask your dentist to take a break who will gladly stop to give you the time.

We have a focus on treating nervous patients and the key to overcoming and coping your dental fear is to remember that you are not alone. If you choose the right dentist and dental team, we will be with you every step of the way, from the moment we meet you until after the treatment is done.
