Jo had been coming to envisage dental for a number of years with her parents and had just turned 14. She would normally have come as a fee per item paying patient, but her parents wanted to establish a routine for Jo's oral health as she grew older. Jo also wanted to know more about straight teeth and proper oral care, so membership made sense in order to have regular dental visits.
How membership helped Jo
Jo would visit every 6-12 months depending on her needs and see the hygienist once a year. During visits the dentist would make sure Jo's fundamental oral health was excellent and discuss any cosmetic requests, to give Jo confidence that as her teeth mature, options would be available if needed. More importantly, Jo was given the confidence that all people smile in different ways and that's what gives character to us all!
Jo is now more confident with her smile and understands the importance of good oral health. If she wanted to change her smile in any way as she gets older she has the knowledge of the options available. By visiting regularly, Jo has a solid understanding of how to protect her teeth to minimise any treatment in the future
What di Jo Say?
"I used to dislike visiting the dentist and felt my smile wasn't that good. By meeting with my dentist more often, I now find it less daunting and also understand the importance of protecting my teeth for the future. I am also looking into straight teeth, but probably when I am older as my teeth are still growing and I know my smile is still something I should be proud of!"
